Cafe Hilda

This café is the kind of place that feels both polished and welcoming at the same time. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a cozy yet modern atmosphere. The space is stylish without feeling intimidating, and you immediately feel like you’ve stepped into a little pocket of calm in the middle of the city. Now for the important part: the coffee and treats. I ordered a small cappuccino, which was smooth, creamy, and beautifully balanced. Personally, I like my coffee a little stronger, so next time I’ll order a double shot, but that’s just me . To go with it, I had a gooey Almond Lemon Macaroon that was nothing short of heavenly. It was the perfect balance of chewy texture, zesty lemon, and rich almond, indulgent but still light enough that I didn’t feel weighed down. The fact that they offer delicious gluten-free options is such a win, especially for those of us who sometimes feel limited when eating out. Another standout is the seating choice. You can either settle inside to enjoy the warm, chic interior or head outside to their additional seating across the street. I went with my cousin and we chose to sit outside to soak up the sunshine and watch the world go by. While we were out there, we got some extra entertainment from a few pigeons and one bold seagull who looked a little too interested in my macaroon . Honestly, it just added to the charm of the experience, though I was holding onto my gluten-free treat tightly! The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, which really elevated the whole visit. It didn’t feel rushed or transactional; instead, it felt like they genuinely cared about creating a welcoming atmosphere. Café Hilda is one of those rare places where everything comes together: the vibe, the food, the coffee, and the people. Whether you’re popping in for a quick coffee, lingering with a book, or catching up with a friend, it’s the kind of café that makes you want to come back again and again. Charming cafe with sweet and savory delicacies and excellent coffee. In Café Hilda you are guaranteed good coffee served by Nordic-hearted staff. Both the cappuccino with oat milk and the classic are full-bodied in taste. For the coffee specialties are highly recommended.

Some colleagues and I stopped here for breakfast on our road trip to Bonn. The food was excellent with really good quality ingredients. The service and ambience was great too. I can recommend their full breakfast and the smoked salmon sandwich.

Delicious food, friendly staff, and didn’t have to wait that long to eat. Great selection of cakes, but not so many of bread and sandwiches. Nice terrace place in the sun and also indoors. *good vegan options

This is my best found recent weeks. Delicious breakfast in quite corner of Kiel, variety of breakfast /brunch menu is enough to satisfy any whimsical taste! Coffee roast absolutely high quality ! My huge appreciation to the owners and friendly staff in here! Absolutely Love it and will be back any possible time!
